Golf
Designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr. HSB resort offers three golf courses for your golfing pleasure. Slick Rock, built in 1971, was the first course of the three. An exceptionally beautiful course, Slick Rock boasts "The Million Dollar Hole". There you are challenged to drive your ball from the tee over Slick Rock Creek and past an eye-popping waterfall. I'll let you in on a little secret, the resort keeps a scuba diver busy cleaning out balls from all the water holes!
Ram Rock earned its name. When the course was under construction, Big Horn Sheep abounded and even today you might chance upon one wandering the hills. Known for its challenging bent greens, narrow fairways and numerous sand and water hazards, Ram Rock will make you work for your personal best!
Applerock is known as one of the most scenic courses in the state and spans 147 acres of rolling Texas Hill Country. With stunning views of Lake LBJ, the course will take you from the highest point of Cap Rock to the lake shore in just a few strokes.
Last but certainly not least and designed to have a more natural, rugged look in order to blend with the surrounding terrain, we introduce Summit Rock. A Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course, Summit Rock is a member's only course, however, upon acceptance, you may purchase your own membership.
"I think Summit Rock has the potential to be very special and I can say that I have thoroughly enjoyed designing it," said Nicklaus. "During the design of Summit Rock, my team and I were challenged to think creatively about how to incorporate the natural terrain, add plenty of spice to the course, while still making the holes playable for a variety of skill levels. The end result is a distinctive course that gives the player more options than most."
